Beneficiaries can look up real-time information about their Visa® Prepaid Card on their own — checking their balance, reviewing recent purchases, or setting a PIN — without waiting on the person who manages the account. This supports the beneficiary's independence and means fewer routine questions for the Authorized Legal Representative (ALR) or Authorized Individual.
In this article, you'll learn how a beneficiary can access their Card information, what they can do on their own, and which actions stay with the ALR or Authorized Individual.
This article is for Cards where an ALR or Authorized Individual manages the account on the beneficiary's behalf. If you're a Beneficiary or Account Owner who manages your own Card, you sign in with your email and password and can use every feature of the dashboard.
How beneficiaries can access their Card information
Option 1 – Online dashboard
Beneficiaries sign in on the sign-in page for their plan. You can find the link for each plan in ABLE Visa® Card - How to Log In Online. The beneficiary chooses to sign in with card details — no password needed — and enters:
- The last 4 digits of the card number printed on the front of the Card
- The last 4 digits of their Social Security number
- Their full date of birth
Option 2 – True Link mobile app
Beneficiaries can download the True Link mobile app on an iPhone or Android phone (see Download our mobile app). When they open the app, they tap Use last 4 digits of card number and enter the last 4 digits of their Card number, the last 4 digits of their Social Security number, and their date of birth. For more detail, see ABLE Visa® Card - How to log in via the mobile app.
Option 3 – Automated phone system
Beneficiaries can call the automated phone system for their plan, which is generally available 24 hours a day:
- STABLE Account: 1-888-364-8430
- All other ABLE accounts: 1-888-219-9054
- 529 Savings Plan: 1-888-442-8480
To confirm their identity by phone, the system asks for information such as the last 4 digits of the Card number, the 4 digits of the year the cardholder was born, and the last 4 digits of the cardholder's Social Security number.
Option 4 – Customer Support
Beneficiaries can speak with a member of our Customer Support team by calling the automated phone system for their plan and pressing 9. For more detail, see Contact our Customer Support Team - Cardholder Support.

What stays with the ALR or Authorized Individual
Because the Card is managed by the ALR or Authorized Individual, some actions can only be taken by them. These include, but are not limited to:
- Adding money to the Card through a withdrawal in the Vestwell platform
- Ordering a replacement Card
- Updating cardholder information (for example, address or phone number)
- Adding, removing, or adjusting Spending Settings
- Setting Alerts
Please be aware
- Online and phone sign-in ask for different birth date details. The online dashboard and mobile app ask for the beneficiary's full date of birth. The automated phone system asks only for the 4 digits of the year the cardholder was born.
- The Card needs to be activated first. If the Card hasn't been activated yet, signing in with card details won't work. See Activate your Card.
- Help the beneficiary report problems quickly. If the beneficiary notices a purchase they didn't make, they should let you know or call our Customer Support team right away. The sooner we know, the better we can protect the account.
Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Support team with any questions.
