As an organizational Authorized Legal Representative (organizational ALR), you can order and manage ABLE Visa® Prepaid Cards on behalf of the beneficiaries you support. In this article, you'll learn how to set up your organization’s account and place your first card order, what the different ABLE Card types are, and how to order cards for multiple beneficiaries at once.
Step 1: Create your ABLE Card Account and order your first Card
Before you can order cards for the beneficiaries you support, you'll need to sign up through our website and establish the organizational account from which all future card orders will be placed.
- Log in to the Vestwell dashboard and click on the prepaid card tile to navigate to the enrollment page (or visit How to order your Visa Prepaid Card to find the correct sign-up page for the state that manages your ABLE account).
- For your first card order, select “I am an Authorized Legal Representative (ALR) for an ABLE Account beneficiary.” We recommend choosing the option "One card for the beneficiary" and completing your order to get your organization's account established. You can add other Card types or place a multi-card order afterward as needed. You are welcome to enter the entity’s business address for “ALR Home Address”.
Understanding ABLE Card types
Once your organization's account is set up, you may want to order additional cards. For each ABLE account, you have the option to order one or both of the below:
- Beneficiary Card — printed in the beneficiary's name only. This card is typically held by the beneficiary and used by them to make purchases.
- Organization ALR Card — printed in the beneficiary's name, with your organization's name on the second line. This card is typically kept at your office and used by authorized staff to make purchases on the beneficiary's behalf.
Below is an example of how an Entity Card is printed:

Please note that the Organizational ALR Card is not currently available in the standard online order form. If you'd like to add an Organizational ALR Card for a beneficiary, or order multiple cards, please contact our Customer Support Team, and we'll take care of the setup for you.
Ordering Cards for multiple beneficiaries
If you're ordering ABLE Cards for more than one beneficiary, or if you'd like to include an Organizational ALR Card in your order, use the bulk card order form (Blank ABLE Card Order Template.xlsx) to submit your order.
- Download the bulk card order form attached to this article.
- Fill out one row per beneficiary. For each row, indicate which card type you'd like issued: Bene Card or Organizational ALR Card.
- Enter the shipping address for the order. By default, cards ship to your organization; let us know if you'd prefer cards be sent directly to each beneficiary's home instead.
- Send your completed form to our Customer Support Team via email at ablecard@truelinkfinancial.com, and our team will confirm receipt.
- Your card order is reviewed and processed by our team, and should arrive 6-9 business days later.
Ordering additional Cards from your dashboard
You can also order additional Bene Cards directly from your dashboard at any time. This is a great option for when you are onboarding 1-2 beneficiaries at a time.
