Keeping receipts for purchases made with the Visa® Prepaid Card is easier with Receipt Upload. You can attach a photo or file of a receipt to a transaction, view it later from the True Link mobile app or the online dashboard, and include receipts when you download reports and statements. This can be especially helpful if you ever need to show what a purchase was for.
In this article, you'll learn how to upload receipts, how to view them, and how to include them in your reports.
Throughout this article, "cardholder" means the person whose name is printed on the Card. Depending on how the Card was ordered, that may be the Beneficiary or Account Owner, or the Authorized Individual or Authorized Legal Representative (ALR) who manages the account on their behalf.
How Receipt Upload works
- Upload from the app or the dashboard. Cardholders and the ALR or Authorized Individual can upload receipt images to a transaction in the mobile app. The ALR or Authorized Individual can also upload receipts from the online dashboard.
- View from either place. Uploaded receipts can be viewed from the mobile app or the online dashboard.
- Download from the dashboard. Receipts can be downloaded along with transaction reports and monthly statements from the Reports tab of the online dashboard. Downloading reports isn't available in the mobile app.
How to upload a receipt

- Sign in to the mobile app. For sign-in steps, see ABLE Visa® Card - How to log in via the mobile app.
- Tap the transaction you'd like to add a receipt to.
- Tap +Upload New.
- Choose how you'd like to upload: take a photo with your camera, select a photo from your camera roll, or upload a file.
- Take or select the receipt image, then tap Use photo. A green message that says "Uploading your document . . ." appears at the bottom of the screen.

Option 2 – Online dashboard
- Sign in to the online dashboard. You can find the sign-in page for your plan in ABLE Visa® Card - How to Log In Online.
- Go to the cardholder's Transactions tab. If you manage more than one Card, select the cardholder first.
- Find the transaction and click the green button to the right of it to open the transaction details.
- Near the bottom of the details, find the Receipts section and click the blue +Add receipt link.
- Select the receipt file from your computer, then click Open to save it.
How to view a receipt

- Tap See all transactions to open the cardholder's transactions.
- Look for transactions with a paperclip icon and the word "Uploaded."
- Tap the transaction to see its details.
- Near the bottom of the screen, tap the three blue dots next to the receipt file, then tap View receipt.
Option 2 – Online dashboard
- Go to the cardholder's Transactions tab.
- Look for transactions with a paperclip icon and the word "Uploaded," and click the transaction to open its details.
- Near the bottom, the Receipts section shows the file name, when it was uploaded, and who uploaded it, along with options to view, download, delete, or add another receipt.
- Click View to see the receipt.
Include receipts in reports and statements
You can include receipts when you download reports from the cardholder's Reports tab on the online dashboard. This isn't available in the mobile app or from the Reports tab on the All Clients page.
- Transaction report: Select Include receipts in report export to download a zip file with a folder of all the receipt images for the dates you chose, along with a spreadsheet of the cardholder's transactions.
- Monthly statement: Select Include receipts in statement export. If you choose Download as Spreadsheet, you'll get a zip file with the receipt images and a spreadsheet of transactions. If you choose Download as PDF, the receipt images are added to the last pages of the statement.
If you'd like a single report that includes receipts along with any notes and Qualified Expense information you've added, you can request a Detailed Transaction Report. See Requesting a Detailed Transaction Report. For more on report types, see Download Reports.
Please be aware
- Older receipts can be stored in folders. The Transactions tab shows transactions from the past 12 months, so a receipt for an older purchase can't be attached to its transaction. Instead, you can upload it to a folder from the Reports tab. Receipts uploaded this way aren't connected to a specific transaction.
- Receipt Upload is optional. Adding receipts is a record-keeping tool. For questions about which expenses qualify under your plan, see ABLE - What is a Qualified Disability Expense (QDE)?
